The London School Teaching Talents© Program has been designed to meet the needs of students who have demonstrated significant academic achievement above grade level expectations.This framework offers students enriched curriculum-based coursework that meets the Ontario Ministry of Education expectations and broadens the scope of learning to include individual interests and future goals.
We believe that personal interests, hopes and dreams are the spark that ignites the passion to learn. To this end, The London School views students as co-creators actively involved in decisions about their education. We focus on collaborative learning experiences tailored to individual interests which enhance active engagement and critical thinking skills and students are encouraged to explore topics deeply and to make meaningful connections with content.
By providing the freedom to go beyond perceived limits, we believe that students will develop a deep understanding of their individuality allowing them to greet new challenges as motivated, innovative, life-long learners.
The London School’s Start Smart© program has redefined education based upon current research in cognitive neuroscience. London School teachers are pioneering our innovative educational approach that focuses developing personal capabilities and capacities supported by authentic, personalized education. The Start Smart© program highlights students’ strengths and enables them to strengthen areas of weakness in their current skill set.
The Smart Smart© framework is designed to build scholastic, social and personal skills that will enable them to be successful in the academic environment and beyond.
We work with students and parents to design strategies that will enable students to improve in identified areas of the curriculum while beginning study in at least one credit course area where there is confidence of their success. Students progress at their own pace with continuously evolving support and encouragement.
